Trusting God to Change Us

by J. M. Farro on April 12th, 2010

LORD, I thank You that You’ve begun a good work in me, and You’ll continue to perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ. Thank You that You’re creating in me the power and the desire both to will and to work for Your good pleasure, satisfaction, and delight. Thank You that You will perfect that which concerns me, and You’ll fulfill Your purpose for my life! (Philippians 1:16; Philippians 2:13; Psalm 138:8)

CREATE in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Restore to me again the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You. (Psalm 51:10,12 TLB)

STEADY my footsteps according to Your promise, Lord. Let no sin rule over me. Do not let my heart incline to any evil, or to yield to any sin. (Psalm 119:133; Psalm 141:4)
