The Joy of the Lord

Lord, grant me a fresh anointing of Your joy this day, which fills me with supernatural strength. Give me a happy heart that does me good like a medicine, and a cheerful mind that works healing. Deliver me from a spirit of heaviness and despair, and clothe me in a garment of praise and thanksgiving. Whenever sorrow or sadness threaten to overwhelm me, help me to lift my hands and declare, “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in God my Savior!” (Nehemiah 8:10; Proverbs 17:22; Isaiah 61:3; Habakkuk 3:18)
