Success in Our Work

by J. M. Farro on April 12th, 2010

Lord, deliver and protect me from all forms of dread, especially the dread that leads to procrastination. Teach me how to rejoice in all of my labors, and to enjoy all of my work, even the most mundane and trivial tasks. Remind me that no matter what I’m doing, I’m actually working for You, and not for myself or others. Bless all my skills, O Lord, and be pleased with the work of my hands. Grant that my labor will find favor in the sight of God and man. And enable me to earn a good living doing what I love to do. In every endeavor, task, and undertaking, direct all my efforts and crown them with success, in Jesus’ name and for Your glory! (Ecclesiastes 5:19; Colossians 3:23-24; Deuteronomy 33:11; Proverbs 3:6)
